Hello Everyone

Made a quick trip to Sioux Falls SD for Andy and Lori 25Th wedding anniversary because I was the Best man in their Wedding and he was the Best Man in ours. I made a few pit stops on the way there and way back. Its pretty quiet around here now with Ashley in Hawaii and Michael back in college, Abbie's on the hunt for a job and sticks around here long enough to make a mess and leave again. Alicia, Ronny and Michael are going to a Rega concert on Saturday and Abbie will be watching Mejana and Lily, they didn't invite me to it and I can't figure out WHY? I will be at the cabin trying to get signed off from the building inspectors and getting ready for our very own Extreme Make Over Team the Lenhoff's Wayne & Amy, Paul, Analise & Family, Adam, Becky & Family, Tracy & Matt, Tiffany, and Charity. They are coming Labor day weekend to finish the inside and maybe if I have the frame for the deck ready, that too. Still having a glass of wine every sunset and remembering all our good times we've had. Love ya all Mike

HI MIKE!
GREETINGS ON LABOR DAY! IT SEEMS THAT YOU TAKE THE HOLIDAY SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU LABOR AWAY ON THE FOOTINGS FOR YOUR DECK. MY GOSH, THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE TYPE OF GROUND WE DEAL WITH ALL THE TIME HERE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS...OR AT LEAST HERE IN THE HILL COUNTRY. NO WONDER IT IS SUCH A CHALLENGE TO GROW PETUNIAS.

YOUR TRAVELS REMIND US A BIT OF THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN. YOU ARE GADDING ABOUT THE COUNTRY AND YOU ARE TOUCHING BASE WITH ALL YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS. AGAIN, WE MUST SAY, IT IS A WONDERFUL WAY TO KEEP YOUR MEMORIES OF THE DAYS OF YOU AND RITA AFLOAT. IT SEEMS AS IF YOU HAVE A HUGE FOLLOWING OF FRIENDS WHO LOVE YOU VERY MUCH. IT ALSO SEEMS AS IF YOU ARE VERY ADEPT AT REACHING OUT TO PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT AND I AM SURE YOU LEARNED A LITTLE BIT OF THAT FROM RITA.

WE HAD A MARGA"RITA" TODAY IN OUR COURTYARD AND THOUGHT OF THE TWO OF YOU. WE TALKED OF HOW TIME TAKES NO PRISONERS...IT JUST KEEPS MARCHING ON AND ON AND ON. DAYS MELT INTO WEEKS AND WEEKS MELT INTO MONTHS AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, THE MONTHS WILL HAVE TURNED INTO A YEAR. SOMETIMES I FIND MYSELF WONDERING WHO INVENTED THE CONCEPT OF TIME WITH THE EVER PRESENT TICKING OF THE CLOCK, AS THE SUN IS RISING IN THE EAST ONLY TO SLIDE BACK DOWN TO DISSAPPEAR IN THE WEST. THEY SAY THAT TIME IS NOT MEASURED IN HEAVEN, THAT INDEED, OUR CONCEPT OF TIME DOES NOT EXIST THERE. FOR THOSE OF US STILL ON EARTH, TIME CAN BE SOMETHING THAT DRAGS TOO SLOW OR SOMETHING THAT GOES BY WAY TOO QUICKLY, DEPENDING ON WHAT CIRCUMSTANCE IN LIFE WE ARE DEALING WITH. RITA DOESN'T HAVE THOSE ISSUES ANYMORE. ALL SHE IS GOING TO KNOW IS THAT IN WHAT SEEMS LIKE THE BLINK OF AN EYE, YOU WILL BE REUNITED AGAIN.

IT IS YOU WHO WILL HAVE THE TIME ISSUE AND WHAT TO DO WITH IT BETWEEN NOW AND THEN, AND FROM WHAT WE CAN SEE, YOU HAVE BEEN BUSY FILLING UP THE HOURS WITH THE LOVE YOU RECEIVE FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS. WE ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A SMART MAN, AND YOU HAVE PROVEN US RIGHT.

YOUR KIDS MUST BE A GREAT COMFORT TO YOU THESE DAYS. AREN'T YOU GLAD YOU HAD MORE THAN ONE???? WHAT WOULD ANY OF US DO WITHOUT OUR LITTLE KIDDOS??? I KNOW THAT WE ARE SO GLAD WE HAVE OUR KIDS IN OUR LIFE AS MUCH AS YOU DO.

WE THINK OF YOU OFTEN, MIKE, AND HOPE TO SEE YOU SOMEDAY. MAYBE WE CAN GET TOGETHER SOMETIME WITH THE SCHNOORS AND THE WELUS AND A FEW OTHERS.

TAKE CARE. WE CARE ABOUT YOU A GREAT DEAL..WE REALLY DO.

DO STAY IN TOUCH.
LOVE, AL AND JUANITA
